Jeff entered the Executive Recruiting field with Roth Young in 1984. After nearly 10 years as a Sr. Partner and consistently in the top 10 of recruiters nationwide Jeff left to form The Porter Hamel Group in 1993.
Jeff believed that clients could be better served by Porter Hamel Group’s professionalism and set out to create an environment and approach that would allow them to continuously deliver superior results.
Jeff likes what he does and is good at it because he takes it personally. His goal is to deliver for both the client and candidate every time. Jeff has developed several successful business relationships that have turned into personal relationships as well. He likes to have fun and believes in that trust being paramount.
Jeff and his wife moved to Salida, CO in 2007. He loves to flyfish, road bike, telemark ski, camp and occasionally mountain bike. Spring time usually finds him on the baseball diamond as a CHSSA certified High School baseball umpire.
Prior to joining The Porter Hamel Group in 2015, Larry worked in the food manufacturing industry for more than 23 years. He started out in PepsiCo at Frito-Lay, where he held several roles of increasing responsibility in production, safety, quality assurance, continuous improvement, finance & plant management across several locations in the US. Most recently he served as the Sr. Director of Operations for Golden State Foods, where he was a part of a team that won two consecutive Chairman’s Challenge awards, given to the top performing facility in the company.
Larry has a strong track record of commitment and success because of his diligence, drive and ability to collaborate with others. As a process driven and analytical leader, he also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Larry has helped lead rapidly growing organizations throughout his career and is well versed in building teams by combining talented individuals with diverse groups. His approach involves ensuring that there is a cultural match as well as a technical one.
Larry was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in Virginia and Georgia, where he recently led the start-up of The Porter Hamel Group Atlanta office. He attended the University of Wisconsin, and earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from University of Phoenix. He enjoys golfing, biking, watching sports, barbequing on his Big Green Egg and spending time with his wife, Kacy, and their daughter.
